FAQ
Does this count working days correctly?
Working days are counted as Monday through Friday, excluding Saturdays and Sundays. The calculator does not account for public holidays, since these vary by country and region. For holiday-aware working day calculation, subtract the relevant holidays from the working day count.
How are months calculated when dates fall mid-month?
The calculator uses the same month-counting logic as age calculators: it counts full months between the two dates, then the remaining days. For example, from January 31 to March 1 is 1 month and 1 day (not 30 days).
Can I calculate the difference in hours?
Yes. The total hours shown is the total days multiplied by 24. For sub-day differences (e.g. between 9 AM and 5 PM on the same day), use the date inputs with time if available, or calculate manually.
What happens when the From Date is after the To Date?
The calculator always shows the absolute difference regardless of which date comes first. The result will be the same whether you put the earlier date in From or To.
How many working days are in a year?
A standard year has 365 days with approximately 52 full weeks, giving 260 working days (52 × 5). Leap years have 366 days and typically 261 or 262 working days. Public holidays reduce the effective working days further depending on your region.
