Unit Converter
Convert length, weight, temperature, area, volume, speed, and data size — all in one place.
What is Unit Converter?
Unit Converter covers 7 measurement categories — Length, Weight, Temperature, Area, Volume, Speed, and Data Size — with all major units in each category. Enter a value in any unit and instantly see the equivalent in every other unit for that category.
Instead of a one-to-one from/to picker, this converter shows all conversions at once, so you can compare km, miles, meters, feet, and inches in a single view. Temperature conversions correctly handle the non-linear Celsius/Fahrenheit/Kelvin relationships. All conversions happen in your browser — no server needed.

FAQ
How do I convert Celsius to Fahrenheit?
The formula is: °F = (°C × 9/5) + 32. For example, 100°C = (100 × 9/5) + 32 = 212°F. To convert back: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9. The unit converter does this automatically — select Temperature, choose Celsius, and enter your value.
How many kilometers in a mile?
1 mile = 1.60934 kilometers. Conversely, 1 kilometer = 0.62137 miles. As a rough mental approximation, multiply km by 0.6 to get miles, or divide miles by 0.6 to get km.
How many kg in a pound?
1 pound (lb) = 0.453592 kilograms. 1 kilogram = 2.20462 pounds. As a quick estimate, multiply kg by 2.2 to get lbs.
What is the difference between KB, KiB, MB, and MiB?
This converter uses the binary definition: 1 KB = 1,024 bytes, 1 MB = 1,048,576 bytes (standard in computing). The SI definition uses 1 KB = 1,000 bytes (kilobyte) and distinguishes it from kibibyte (KiB = 1,024 bytes). For most computing and storage purposes, the binary definition applies.
Can I convert between imperial and metric units for area?
Yes. The Area category includes sq. meters, sq. kilometers, sq. feet, sq. miles, acres, and hectares. For example, 1 acre = 4,046.86 sq. meters = 0.404686 hectares.
